THE SERPENT IN PARADISE
According to the United Nations Human Development Index, Norway has achieved the highest level of human development in the world today. This significant social achievement is attributed to high levels of wealth redistribution, strong institutions, and political stability, all supported by what is considered the world’s highest quantity of per capita ‘natural capital.’
However, examining Norwegian society through the experiences of several foreign individuals unveils the darker aspects of a society often romanticized, emulated, and aspired to by others.
By exploring the relationship between ethnic homogeneity, wealth redistribution, and discrimination, this analysis raises a challenging question: In a society founded on egalitarian values, are some individuals more equal than others?

I have always told people that history repeats itself. The first time is a tragedy and the second time is a comedy. Because its funny that people dont see it coming around again!
